Import
Bring subscribers from somewhere else.
CSV format
Your file needs an email column. firstName and lastName are optional. First row should be headers.
email,firstName,lastName
john@example.com,John,Doe
jane@example.com,Jane,Smith
bob@example.com,Bob, Most email tools (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, etc.) can export to this format.
Importing
Open a publication and go to the Subscribers tab. Click Import Subscribers. Drag your CSV in or click to browse. You'll see a preview of the first few rows—check that the columns mapped correctly, then click Import.
After it finishes, you'll see how many were:
- Imported — added to your publication
- Skipped — already exists (duplicates)
- Invalid — bad email format
Adding manually
Switch to the Add Manually tab if you just need to add one or two people. Enter email, optionally name, click add.
Double opt-in
If your publication has double opt-in enabled, imported subscribers start as "Pending" and get a confirmation email. They become "Active" once they click the link.
For subscribers you're migrating from another service who already confirmed, you might want to temporarily disable double opt-in for the import, then re-enable it.
